Jordan Gusa

Kindergarten Teacher

"Walk with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2

I was born in Dallas. I spent 10 years in Chicago and came back to Texas in high school. I enjoy spending time with my husband Patrick, our two children, and our wild pup. We like to go on walks, explore new places, play golf, and travel as much as we can.

I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from The University of Texas at Tyler. After graduating in 2010, I came back to Dallas and was blessed with the opportunity to teach preschool here at Zion. This year, I am excited about changing levels and teaching Kindergarten.

I am proud to be part of many community organizations for Lake Highlands including the Junior Women’s League and the Early Childhood PTA.  I also volunteer to help with VBS here at Zion.

I believe that each child is a unique and precious creation from God and therefore is treated with love and respect. I believe children learn primarily by play that is natural, fun, and challenging. I believe it is important to develop the “whole child." I encourage learning through problem solving, group interaction, sharing, listening, taking risks, and making good choices. I hope my students remember me as a loving and consistent teacher who loves Jesus and them!
