I was born in St. Charles, Missouri and attended church and school at Immanuel Lutheran. My parents are Carroll and Lois (deceased) Pingel, and I have two siblings. My husband, Scott, and I have one son, Nicholas. Our family enjoys traveling. I enjoy reading, and exploring nature and art.
I have been teaching for over 30 years with experience in teaching Preschool, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade. Additionally, I have served as an Early Childhood Administrator. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois, and a Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist from Saginaw Valley State University. I have a teaching certificate from the state of Michigan. I have taught in Chicago, Florida, and Michigan. I have received training in teaching students with dyslexia from the Michigan Dyslexia Institute and from the June Shelton School and Evaluation Center.
I am organized and professional in my teaching. I enjoy partnering with parents in guiding their children in their learning: spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. I strive to provide each child with individual understanding and guidance to grow to be the person God has created him/her to be.
