I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. I moved to Dallas with my husband Geoffrey in 2007. We have four beautiful children; three girls and a boy, two cats, and a Bernedoodle named Sadie! Geoffrey and I love to travel and explore the world. Our home away from home is in San Sebastian, Spain! We love to snorkel, dive, and be at the beach as much as possible. In my free time I enjoy being outside, baking/ decorating cakes, and finding new ways to organize our house.
In college I participated in mission trips to Juarez, Mexico where we built churches, homes, and connected with families. During my senior year in college, I began to dual study in the masters program in Counseling while Interning at what was formally known as Western Missouri Mental Health. At this time, I was also working at Johnson County Mental Health Center in Shawnee Mission, Kansas providing community mental health services.
In 2018, I began working at Zion in the Early Childhood Program in Pre-K4. As an Early Childhood educator, I have a real opportunity to make a difference in young lives facilitating growth and building positive relationships. As the Art teacher, I am excited to be a part of the children’s creative opportunity and artistic growth! Art provides a chance for students to experience a different atmosphere from their standard classroom setting. They are able to use their creative brains to express what is on their mind and in their heart.
