"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:7

Growing up, I had the opportunity call several places home, but my family finally settled in Louisville, Kentucky. I love all things Kentucky, including basketball and horseracing! My husband, Sky, and I met in college and we now have two sons, Cameron and Jackson. In my free time I enjoy cooking, crafting, and listening to podcasts.

I attended both Southern Methodist and University of Kentucky for my undergraduate degree. I have a Master’s in Education from Southern Methodist University and I began my teaching career at Zion in 2011 as an assistant in 5th grade. The following year I accepted the 6th grade Homeroom and Middle School Language Arts position. In 2016, my family moved to Florida for a job opportunity. We moved back to Dallas in 2021 and I began substitute teaching and aiding again at Zion. This is my first year teaching 8thgrade Homeroom and Middle School Math and Science.

As a teacher I strive to be fair and encourage curiosity about all subjects. I enjoy fostering learning through group discussions and hands on activities in the classroom.
